Fire brigades woes

Britain’s fire services are in deep trouble. The Fire Brigades Union (FBU) says that a below inflation funding settlement for 2025–26 equals the loss of 2,300 firefighter posts in England. As we shall see, things are no better in Scotland or Wales.
